Black Friday 2015 – Apple and Microsoft’s Best Deals

Typically, Apple isn’t as active as other tech giants when it comes to Black Friday deals. Even third-party retailers don’t really offer big discounts on the Cupertino company’s devices and machines. But this year seems to be different, and it’s not just Apple products selling at bigger discounts than usual; the same applies to fellow tech giant Microsoft, who has several products available on the cheap with Black Friday 2015 coming up tomorrow.

That said, we’re here to give you only the best Black Friday coverage this year, and we have compiled some of the best Apple and Microsoft product deals. Not surprisingly, many of them come to us courtesy of third-party retailers.

Best Buy probably has the most Apple device deals this Black Friday, with the iPad Air 2 leading the way. You can save $125 off the price of the high-end, high-storage 128GB version, or $100 off the price of the 16GB and 64GB editions. In other words, you’ll be paying only $699.99 for the 128GB iPad Air 2, and $499.99 or $599.99 respectively for the 16GB and 64GB versions respectively. The present-generation iPad mini 4, which was unveiled just a few weeks ago, is also selling for less, as you can pay only $499.99 for the 64GB edition or $599.99 for the 128GB edition. Both represent $100 discounts off full pricing.

Even the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus has gotten discounted by Best Buy…sort of. The retailer’s “deal with a twist” entails giving out a $200 gift card to anyone who trades in an iPhone 5 or newer in exchange for the iPhone 6s or 6s Plus. It’s not a cash discount, but it’s arguably one of the best ways for shoppers to get a good deal on either one of Apple’s flagship devices for 2015. As for the Apple Watch, you can save $100 on Watch variants priced between $349 to $699.

Meanwhile, you can also save money on several MacBooks, as MacMall and Best Buy are among the retailers offering discounts on Apple’s professional notebook line. The present model of the 13.3-inch Retina MacBook Pro, for instance, is available for $150 off, or for only $1,349.99 at Best Buy, while the new 12-inch MacBook costs just $1,149.99, also $150 off full retail pricing.

Talking about Microsoft’s deals, today is the day – you can now save on various Windows devices and machines, including the Surface 3. The 10.8-inch Surface 3 tablet costs $150 less on the Microsoft Store, and that includes a Type Cover bundled in as part of the deal. Normally, the Surface 3 costs $499 and the Type Cover $129.99, but Microsoft is selling both bundled together for only $479. The Surface Pro 3, on the other hand, costs only $699, which is $200 less than the original sticker price. “Select Surface Pro 3” tablets are also selling for $300 off on Best Buy.

Unfortunately, we haven’t heard much about the present-generation Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book, but as they’re relatively new devices, it’s not surprising they aren’t part of major Black Friday deals.

The Microsoft Store is also selling several laptops at heavily discounted prices, including the Dell Inspiron 15 Signature Edition ($399, reg. price $749) and the HP Pavilion Signature Edition ($549, reg. price $849).
